richard t said i should start my own business, any tips on how to “start with word of mouth” i had a thought of a little brochure and give a few to family to give to random friends if they mention about PCs.. i have fixed quite a few friends pc’s but no idea how to say im starting to charge now…

He said about home visits, its much easier and faster to do it by my currently parents house, got my own room separate to the main house, Surely they would be able to bring the PC to my house, or if they can’t for an extra £5 we can pickup and re-deliver when fixed…

Also to fix some problems i need my PC and internet as a support tool…

No Fix – No Fee basis?? Because i don’t know everything, i know quite a bit but there are always things people don’t know…

Go to your local church or a local non-profit organization and offer your services for free. This will broaden your word of mouth advertising. Also it is good to put the word out that you want to start a business. Ask and you shall recieve. I would also put a classified ad in a local paper. Start small and grow your business. Good luck.

Start by establishing some customers as references. Then supply new potential customers with the names of your prior customers and phone numbers if they would not mind giving you a reference. From there word of mouth. Also post your business where ever you can, such as supermarket bulletin boards. Good luck.

It’s completely free. Service Corps of Retired Executives
Exactly what the name says. They volunteer their time to help others start their own businesses. They will help you write a business plan and marketing techniques and finances, etc…

Sign up. They’ll send you an e-mail with attachments and contact info for you own business advisor… It really helped me a lot. They also offer 4 hour seminars every couple months or so…

    Good Luck!

Go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.

You should think often about what you are trying to accomplish through your efforts. You want to build multiple income streams that are either residual or leveraged. Remember that residual income comes from doing something once and getting paid for it again and again for a long time afterwards. Leveraged income comes from your share of the accomplishments of people you have recruited and trained. If it were not for residual and leveraged income, we would all be destined to toil our lives away in an unending effort to make ends meet. Rather than just trading time for money, your goal is to set processes in motion that make money–and continue to make money even after you stop working on them. That gives you residual income. Your goal is also to recruit people to your team and help your team members initiate processes that make money. That gives you leveraged income. You want to set these money-making processes in action and let them work for you, so you will have the time and money needed to do the things in life you enjoy.
